How would I do a "blue paint on glass ball" effect?

I’m trying to create a glass-clear plastic like object, that looks like someone has gotten blue paint and smeared a blue smiley face on it. Of course, The blue paint is fully opaque. The blue paint effect is going to be made in substance painter.

This is my nodes at the moment which creates the glass object.

My question is, where would I plug in the base color texture of the blue paint?

Between your last mix shader and material output, add another mix shader and plug your texture into that, using the alpha of the texture as the factor

Just as Joseph said, it’s a Mix node…
First create you Smiley, in Texture Paint W/B image to act as a Mask…once you have that then that will be your FACTOR of your Mix node that combines your Paint Over the Glass…Something Like this…

The Mask could also be used connected to a Bump and Principled Node to give the Paint some Thickness…

You could take all those nodes that make your Glass and make a Group Node out of them
