howto - particle starting before frame 1

Does anyone know’s how can i start my particle animation before frame 1 ? The smallest value that i can input in the “Sta” box is 1.
I want the particles to start before frame 1 but i do not know how.

Hi,

I think you can use the Time IPO to offset the particle animation (and even change the timing of it).
