Hungry Robot

Hungry Robot

A robot I made for the substance 3d challenge on the rookies; I didn’t get the whole scene done in time for the competition and wanted to challenge myself to create a realistic desk scene. I struggle sometimes with sub-D modeling hard surface stuff, so this was an excuse to practice. Also, I generally use Zbrush in my pipeline but decided to go full blender this time for the modeling. While making this scene, I took the creative shrimp cinematic lighting course. So many great tips, and I highly recommend it.

The textures were a ton of fun to make for this one; it’s fun mixing substance textures with cycles shader tricks. I hope you enjoy it!

I probably spent too much time on this pencil, lol.

This is a high quality render, did you model from scratch.

Thank you! Yes I modeled everything in the scene.
