Here is a render of a less-known musical instrument called Hurdy Gurdy. Wood texture is procedural. I will also include more shots with a different setting.

I like it! I like the details you put in there, although for a medieval instrument, I’d prefer a wooden table instead of a cloth, and what’s up with this plastic-like tripod? It’s a little too modern for such a nice musical instrument!
If I was making something similar, I’d probably make a still-life with some wine bottles on a wooden table, and some fruits as well.
Otherwise, nice work!
cool work !! we dont see many 3d hurdy gurdy these days… i am agree with the comment before me about the back ground …
Thanks for the critique! The stand was done in a hurry and is actually a guitar stand. I couldn’t find much info on the stand of a Lute shaped Hurdy Gurdy, so I settled on the steel stand like shown in this image:
And about the silk background, well I stole the idea from some images:

While I am trying out different kind of wood stands, I still think this metal stand looks more natural for a lute shaped hurdy gurdy. I will see if I can find a more suitable stand.
An old table with some wine bottles and glass (no fruits) was the idea too, but I might not do it. I will if I find a good composition.
Thanks for the critique! Yeah, I can see, people are barely interested.
nice work need a good backdrop for it like a firelit room or something.
Thanks! I got lazy for a room backdrop, I started that. but I dropped it later. There was a pic of the progress in the works-in-progress section.
