I am looking for a way to create cartoon-like eyes and mouth

How does it make eyes and mouths like Pomni’s in “Amazing Digital Circus?”

I tried to make a Kirby, but the distance between the eyes and mouth is too close, and I can’t help but get strange wrinkles. Also, the shape is not so beautiful because the vertices are moved for topology. Maybe something is wrong with my method.

Is there a good way to keep a beautiful shape with the distance between the eyes and mouth so close together?

  1. Starting with a small amount of edges and shaping them will be easy to trim. (You can stretch the edges as needed.)

  2. You can use a mirror modifier to reduce the amount of work and work symmetrically.

  3. If it’s difficult to model, you can use Sculpt to create a basic form and work on Retology.

I don’t know what those things are.

But, here’s a basic tutorial to help you learn subdivision modeling.

I used a shrink wrap modifier and were able to make it look like that.
Vertex groups are created to ensure that the mouth is not affected.
