I have a rigging problem :/

Hello, I have a rigging problem, with my model.
Some parts don’t follow… I don’t understand.

Can anyone help me?

Try watching some rigging tutorials. The reason for this is that applying with automatic weights doesnt always work perfectly, especially as your model gets more complex. So sometimes you need to edit the bone weights. If you go to weight paint mode, and select the head bone from the bones listed in the vertex group, then you will see that the hair peices that are left behind are painted blue. Blue means the bone does not influence that geometry. If it is painted yellow or green that would mean that the bone influences it by 50%. If it is red then 100%. So what you will need to do is after parenting the rig, go around and find the areas where the rig isnt functioning as it should, and then weight paint those areas properly.
Hope that brief explanation helps.

And here is a simple tutorial on weight painting.

For the hair, you could parent the objects to the mesh and they should follow the deformation, or you could select the hair objects, select the rig, change to pose mode and click on the head bone to parent those hair objects to the actual bone itself. That way if the bone moves all the hair would move too.

For the shirt/dress, I’d recommend watching this tutorial on Youtube from TLD Studios: https://youtu.be/IkfgHp_eDdE

It walks you through empty group parenting, then transfer weights from the base mesh.

Hope that helps!

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Auto weighting usually fails when trying to use a mesh with layers, like clothing over character’s skin. Usually it causes an error message, but I didn’t see that error in your video.

Others have given advice on fixing this.
