I have been working on this car for years...

This is a car that I created a few years back. When a newer version of Blender comes out, or if I get a faster PC, I usually tweak the project some. I posted this before long ago at the old Blender Forum URL, but the images are now gone.

I chose the 1965 Imperial, because of the handy blueprints, perfect for Blender. This car also has a lot of challenging curves and edges, plus a lot of chrome trim. Yeah, there’s a lot of room for improving this project, but that’s what I like about Blender. I can change and adjust all sorts of components. I am thinking about doing the interior in high detail. Right now there is a basic bare-bones interior, just good enough not to see from my renderings. If you notice, the front grill is more like a 1964, however I designed that grill on actual photos of 1965 Imperial cars and not from the blueprints.

Blueprints:

LOOK at the front grill, the rain-grill below the wipers and the rear bumper “grill”. Those are "flat plane meshes. I used a Alpha UV maps and a NOR setting (bump map) to make the grills look like a complex mesh.

Great Shine on the car. Great Looking matarial

Great work on this model ! I love american cars of the sixties !

Looks pretty good, I like the windshield glass material and reflections. I assume you render it in Blender Internal because it is very shiny .
