Centyman is a creature born from my research on the aesthetics of horror in video games, based on my Final Degree Project (TFG). This monster represents the materialization of terror, conceived and designed from scratch to generate discomfort and fear.
The main goal of this project was to challenge proper human anatomy to create a figure that evoked a true sense of unrest. Throughout the process, I focused on deforming and exaggerating proportions to accentuate its monstrosity. From the initial concept and sketches, through modeling and texturing in programs like ZBrush and Substance Painter, to the final animation in Blender and its integration into Unreal Engine.
al parecer, era mi primer post y solo me dejan subir una imagen, querĂa subir algunas muestras mas, de todas formas, la pregunta esta en el tĂtulo del post, I need feedback and advice on my project
Again, not sure what comments or advice you’re looking for.
The Behance page shows a lot of nice work done already, but do you want any more advice on modeling/UV/Texturing or maybe rigging/animation?
What will be the endresult of this project?
You’re throwing the net out a bit too wide now
I’ve created a State animation, I’ve managed to export it to a horror environment previously created in Unreal Engine and I’ve taken a render of it, but the truth is that my computer is not as powerful as I would like and that animation looks like it was from the Play Station 2 that I don’t dare to upload
Well, it’s interesting and eye-catching, but I think the musculature can be worked out more. The drawing (I think it was the initial drawing) looks more believable to my eye.
I was thinking when I was looking at it that that would be hard but that’s what I see. I was thinking you may have to figure out how the muscles work in a way.
Okay, I see that this is part of some “academic degree” program … which is sort of a horror unto itself … but the essential idea is a very good one. A scorpion rendered with human parts. It is also delightfully “surrealistic” in that one stinger is a foot while the other is a hand. The modeling and staging looks very good.
While I am certainly not your academic advisor, I would say that you should simply pursue this idea as very-best you can, using the computer that is right now available to you. And to focus your efforts on what you can achieve, not what you fear you can’t.
There has never(!) been a completed project in which the creators did not say, “If only …”
