Hi, everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted here ![]()
Hopefully a few of you still remember me.
I recent found myself back in Blender, using both 4.0 and 2.78.
I wanted to revisit an earlier project of mine and then take it to where I wanted to back then in 2006.
Here is my older Prometheus render, something much simple which I still very much like:
The “revised” project became it’s own, as it moved away from the abstract qualities of the 2006 project.
I now consider them two separate projects.
Here are some 3d views of the 2025 project in the Blender 2.78 interface:
I still love how capable Blender 2.78’s internal renderer + compositing nodes are.
The only “post” work I did for this image in GIMP was to add the border and text.
I hope you enjoy it.
I got married in 2022, and I’ve been very busy finally getting my poetry out into the world in book-length forms.
As some of you may remember, I’ve been writing poetry for the longest time, since the 1980s. I had promised my mom (who passed away in 2020) that I was going to get my writings out in the world, and that finally has happened.
You can visit my website to learn more about my poetry:
I’ve been checking in on BlenderArtists and Blender’s development over the years, and I’m so very happy to see the community thriving with such incredible talent.
Blender is incredible and will always be so.
Blender forever!
