I suck at organic modelling, so...

I did it with the Gimp. It is about an historic meeting between Hitler and Franco about the participation of Spain in the WWII. Also related with this thread:

Notice the big boiler of soup at the middle of the table, a not so historical addition of mine. I like soup!

Thats pretty good. Looks just like hitler there.

Shouldn’t this be in the wip section? Your forms seems to lack a spine and your anatomy is off. And you don’t suck at organic modelling, you just need more practice and reference.

thanks for the critizism.

It is not in the wip forum because first it is finished, second, I’ve used the Gimp.

While I agree that anatomy is a bit off, I like the result because is more explicit that realistic. I don’t have time nor skills for a better result and I have a deadline to met.

Anyway I’m very proud because It is the first time I’ve used some matte painting tecniques onto an unfinished render, and the result is quite decent IMO.

Than it should be in the finished section. Using the gimp doesn’t mean that its traditional 2d drawing. I still think you could tweak the materials more, the are flat. You have a good foundation for a strong scene, I just think your abandoning it too quickly. There is a deadline for this image?

tomorrow, anyway this night I’ll try to work on it a bit more.

you have added shadows, but don’t you think, that somewhere Shift + D tool (sorry, I don’t have english version of gimp :frowning: ) may make materials more realistic?
look e.g. at Hitler’s pocket

I also propose adding some blinks, speculars, on bald parts of heads
