I want a uniform texture, isn't working...

I’ve created a club (technically a macuahuitl) and I want to give it a nice uniform wood texture in the material. Problem is, it looks like the attached photo, with the texture showing up rotated differently and different sizes depending on which face it’s on. Is there a way to make everything more uniform?

You’ve given no details on how you mapped your texture or even what the texture looks like.
Try uv unwrapping your model to control how any texture is applied.
