Hello I have an IBM Thinkpad T42.
I would like to update my graphics card driver for 32-bit ubuntu 11 so that I can use blender.
Right now blender runs really slowly.
I have downloaded the driver and am wondering how to install it.

Hi, i don´t know if the driver really help for performance because this notebook is to old for 3d software.
You get a IBM Thinkpad T42 used for 50-100 Euro and the ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 is a 64MB card.
I am afraid you need better hardware to work with Blender.
Other 3d software like 3dsmax you cant even install on such hardware anymore.
