and what did the 3Dsmax version look like?
I’d like to see a wireframe shot of the mesh and material/render settings ^.^ this is indeed really nice.

Added wireframe shot as well as the original 3D Studio Max renders.
I just did an experiment. I took the 3DMax render and applied a gamma of 2.2 on it. I thought the result was interesting. I hope you don’t mind.

I’m eager to try using the linear workflow method on my next project, but I’m still only at the modelling stage.
