Does anybody know how to “lock” a bone that is in an IK chain? I’d like to be able to move 3 bones that are in a chain without moving the root of the chain at all. I used to use Animation:Master and I remember that that was one of the nice feature was to be able to lock and unlock bones from the IK
In Pose mode with Root bone selected, in F9 Lock X, Y and Z.
If you only want to include the x last bones in an IK chain, you can also use chainlen (in 2.40). Chainlen = 1 only includes last bone in chain, 2 = two bones etc. 0 (default) = all parent bones.
