im a student in multimedia and animation… while searching a 3d software for me to practice and which i could get free i found this advertisement in youtube. i asked my parents for me to buy that software cos it was selling and it says its the best software among all the softwares even beating 3ds max and maya… and when i bought it and run it into my system… guess what… it has an icon of a mage hat in blue color but the whole thing is BLENDER 3D… i was so pissed off -.- … here is the link of that advertisement in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COK93jqCovI#
and it was even showing z-brush as there own. or maybe i dunno blender has a connection with thi illusionmage, if so … im confused and this is my bad -.-

if I google “illusionmage” the first 5 links say it is a scam- do your research, getting reviews on a product is easy to do. Remember for next time :wink:

That illusionmage scam will not stop because one youtube video was banned.
This guy needs to be sued. It would be nice to have a class action lawsuit against the guy. I’m sure he’s making money.
I would definitely join in the fight against him for using copyrighted works on his web page that were made with a different program.
He is allowed to sell Blender under a different name as long as he gives away the source code. He does give away the source code as I’ve emailed him in the past about it.
