Hello everyone, I just started blender, so excuse me for not knowing simple things, designing my first car gave me a feeling of excitement. The suggestion I’d like to get is about this: the car’s taillights look very simple no matter what I do, it’s like it’s in a cubic game style, how can I fix this part, I tried adding texture but it didn’t work out the way I wanted.
(I added the sketchfab link above, but because some materials were not displayed properly, I added it on the screenshot.)
A lot of cars of the this time period had one long rear light instead of 2 separate lights. Others would do a long element and break the lights with something in the middle, like the license-plate. Look at images of cars from the 70s and you will see a bunch of interesting ideas to try.
Thanks! I paid attention, these types of taillights really suit these car types. I found a car model that I can be inspired by but I guess it’s against the rules to share the link. I think these taillights which is long, break and shorten at one point and end with a little difference in the middle that will fit exactly this model
I dont know, honestly given the overall design I feel like your car is already looking good and OK.
thanks I’m glad you like the model but I didn’t really satisfied with the rear lights part, it’s like as style of the other parts of the car and the style of the rear belonged to different themes, it might be a good idea to make longer, maybe it will hold up better, if it doesn’t i’ll leave it as is
yes ok do as you prefer but I was lookin at the front of the car, then the back, and to me they kinda already match. I agree the back of your car isnt the best but it “works” for the style…
I guess this is something that can inspire your design… Or like the camaro, the dodge charger, those american cars should give you the inspiration. Maybe
sorry for an error I posted an offensive electric car. Well, google the normal one.
