I’m currently working on a new project, which is a short animation.
my goal here is to create a seemingly endless tunnel. i would like this scene to be a dystopian enviroment, an dirty / rusty industrial complex (fictional, but realistic as possible).
i would love to get any kind of criticism and suggestions during the early stage of this project, thank you in advance
This is overall a well made scene, but it’s rendered in a way that makes it look like a miniature. The depth of field is really strong, to a degree that most cameras cannot do at the scale of a street.
Also, it’s a bit hard to tell with the blur, but he ground texture looks like it might need to be finer. I would need to see the unblurred image to say for sure.
Something else I was wondering, is the height of the camera intentional? Looking at the doors, it looks like the camera is barely above knee height.
Also, the lens dispersion is really strong. The only reason you would get it this strong with a real camera is if you do it intentionally as an artistic effect. Is this the case here?
Are you intending to add stuff in the corridor at some point, or is this close to the final scene? I am asking because the depth of field isn’t focussed on anything in particular.
i wanted it to be this empty, maybe add some steam at the manhole covers. this sequenz is something around 10 sec long, after that the camera will go through one opened door and the next sequenz starts. i want to increase the tempo and the visual alteration slowly.
