Import MAX models

Hi

Does anybody know if there is a way to import MAX models into blender?
I don’t have 3d studio max.

Not that I am aware of within blender.

you could try this: https://anyconv.com/max-to-obj-converter/

Thanks a lot!
Works perfectly.

I have another question.
So I read OBJ format is only a mesh, no textures included.
I found here how to add the textures.

https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/65918/how-do-i-add-a-texture-when-importing-from-obj-scan

So after adding them I save the file as a .blend file, so i’m fully working with Blender format.
I now have a .blend file with the model and in the same folder I have textures. They are loaded by blender when I open the blend file.

Do you know if there is a way to embed textures inside the .blend file or is this not possible?

Once your textures are loaded into blender, you can then pack them into the file:

once you have them packed, save the .blend file and it will now carry the texture in the .blend file with the model
