Hi community,
I imported a Zelda model in blender … and it worked good ^^ … but I’ve just one small problem I can’t pick just one object (to make animations for example) like an arm or a foot  Does anyone know a button or a function that cuts the object in its original meshes (that I can pick up only the face or something else)
Thanks for your replies ^^
You can separate the mesh by selecting the model, changing to edit mode (TAB), select the vertices of the parts you want to separate using “box select” (press b, drag, LMB), then press “p” / selected).
Depending on the style of animation you’re after, that might work.
Otherwise, you may want to leave the mesh intact and rig it using an armature. To do that, look at the “Intro to Character Animation” tutorial (link in my signature).
If your model is already separate objects and your having trouble picking the object you want, divide your 3d window into two windows, and make the other window an outline view, and in the view menu for that window, turn on outline rather than Oops Schematic. That will give you a list of objects, and you can click on the list to select.
But I’ve another problem now ^^ … I can’t texture only the hand for example. When I select only the hand and I want to texture it … the hole figure becomes textured … pls help me ^^
