Importing polygroups and vertex groups from OBJ files

This is kind of ridiculous. I don’t know how this happened. In Blender 2.49a, when importing an OBJ file, they had an option called Import Polygroups. It was wonderful. I loved it.

In Blender 2.49b, the option no longer exists.

So - what do I do? How do I get that option back? Is there a way to import that ability into Blender 2.49b?

?! Thats weird. You just downloaded the regular Blender 2.49b straight from the website?

I guess I’ll do a reinstall

Open the script in a text window (from your scripts folder and named import_obj.py) and run with Alt+P to ensure you are using the right script.

I downloaded the .zip file instead of the .exe file and everything works fine again.
