In pose mode I can't seem to animate and apply location using the scale tool

Hi please, I am relatively new to animation, but can anyone help with this problem I have a sphere and it has 231 bones and I am trying to move all the bones at the same time on their location using scaling, so the bones uniformly expand in all directions.

In key frame 1 I insert key frame location iI select all the bones they are at 0 location in X,Y,Z

I then use the scale tool to expand the transform location which have yellow boxes for X,Y,Z starting of yellow in the side panel but when I start to transform scale the boxes turn from yellow to orange in side panel of the bones

Then in key frame 2 it should be

X -0.6
Y 3.8
Z 2.2

but as soon as I touch the frame counter at the bottom and move it back to frame 1 the location of the bones in the side panel of the Transform location reverts back to 0.00 and the side panel is now green but the scale of the transform that I done is kept and pressing spacebar does no animation as the location is not kept why is it like this?

Also, I just noticed that if I select all the bones in pose mode again and try to bring the scale back to 0.00 at keyframe 1 it does not scale them back, it says 0.00 in the side panel but the size of the bones is still at the size that I scaled them at previously and I can’t seem to get them back to 0.00 if I do any action afterwards

I do not understand why this happens also.

And lastly, I am not sure what I done but now I can’t select all the bones and when I try to add insert keyframes using [ I ] it instead adds something called button keying set how can make it, so it does not do that anymore. I just want to scale the location of the bones but I can’t even insert a keyframe for that now.

can anyone help please? thank you

Uploading: Blender animate location_2.PNG…

If you’re making Location keyframes and changing scale… yeah, that’s not going to do anything. Try LocRotScale keyframes instead

Thanks that was the answer

Okay, just an update I reverted back to a previous save because I just could not figure out what was wrong.

Thanks Josephhansen, I did as you said at insert Keyframe I used all 3 transforms, location, scale and rotation. First, I used the transform for scale and location and then I inserted keyframes and now in the node edit window all the nodes appeared thanks a lot. Finally, the model has some animation.
