Inside the Small Intestine

The Small Intestine has multiple levels of folding to increase nutrient uptake by 6’000 times.

This year I have challenged myself to create a new image each week with the aim of improving my weak spots. I’m usually bad at backgrounds as I usually leave them blank.

I like the image itself as it’s simple and creative. The background works with this and I think you did a good job with the background. How did you get the little cylinders (I’m drawing a blank on their actual name) arranged in that way?

Thanks Fritz131, I modeled a low poly tube from a subdivided cube for a single Villus. I then added adaptive subdivision and the following material.

From there I added a particle system to a small portion of the small intestine in front of the camera. I hope that answers your question. :eyebrowlift:
