Interesting Question

While looking at this tutorial for Modeling a Gundam RX-78-2 in 3DS Max i noticed an interesting action 3DS Max hasby using compound object function, boolen and operand B to get an object to cut into another and remain. Is there a way to do this in blender?

yes, booleans have been in blender for some time. check the docs, but I think the command to access is shift W

not only have they been there, they made it alot nicer to see the outcome before applying the modifier (and maybe blender will crash lol). it works alot nicer than it did before 2.64

as i have noticed, normally the boolean tool has been the pain of my existence in the past. However, on that note, I do have another question. While looking at the RX-78-2 Gundam tutorial for 3DS MAx, how do I set an Object to follow a path if the path is a object? Here is the page I am referencing:
