Hi all,

I am a complete noob at Blender and got stuck tonight helping a friend. I tried to explain to him how to use blender to run a script to import a file.ogsjs.gz file. but he doesn’t have the window like I do in the attached image. I don’t know what this window is called or how to get it to display on screen? Can someone please point me in the right direction, as google wasn’t much of help

If I understand right it is the Text Editor? Well, his is not showing?

You need to switch the window to the Text Editor. Here:

It looks like you’re using a pretty old version of blender, maybe part of the confusion is that he has a newer version?

Good point, @NiklasWerth. You’re using 2.49, which is from 2009. You’re ten years off here :wink: I’d try the latest version for sure.
