One of the most important aspects of my job as 3D artist is the communication with client. Sometimes it can be quite difficult to understand what the client wants. The truth is that sometimes they don’t even know what they want themselves. This time it was different.
I was contacted by my friend - architect and interior designer - with a request to make a visualization for a flat that was redesigned by them. I received photos of the original condition of the flat and also 3D model in Sketch-up they prepared. My task was to create photorealistic images and 360° visualization . The client had a very clear idea about the overall feeling of the apartment that they wanted to achieve. Together we were able to transform this idea into an eye-pleasing reality.
They knew how to work efficiently . They followed the plan systematically and always focused on the detail. The changes they made were sketched directly into the renders, which made it much easier for me to meet their expectations and fulfill their ideas.

Having a platform where you could create private client spaces to hand in your deliverables and give them the ability to add pins with comments and discussions right on the images is something I’ve been wanting to create for a while now, now that I see this post I might actually do it. Do you guys think it would be useful?
I think it depends on the tools the client is used to. Clients who speak a lot won’t write even a single sentence - you have to write it down yourself during calls and rewrite it into email for confirmation.
This architect was writing by hand so they were using some device and editing software for that and they are comfy with it.
For creators like me - yes - it might be useful to better showcase fe changes to client, but the tool has to be intuitive, easy to use and I am sure if there are such tools already
we are using Miro boards f.e. there are endless possibilities what, how for who to write down - we use it in our team to know project better (Miro offers boards which you can zoom in and out freely and you have endless space there )
Yes, I was thinking of something similar. I did a bit of research and it looks like there’s similar tools out there already. I’ll have to look further into it.
As creators using Blender are sharing their computer specs rather than tools - it might be interesting to ask some groups about it and they can give you their experience and what the are missing
As always - beautiful work. And such a lovely client to have - even if execution can be a bit tedious at times, it is always better to have a client with a clear vision. Nothing is worse then a client who does not know what he/she wants but knows EXACTLY what they DONT want ;-).
