Hello folks,
I finished the furniture module in my design class at Wayne State and thought those who are new to Blender might find this useful learning basic modeling with using Furniture as a study object.
This covers basic Blender operation, modeling, texturing, creating 2D and 3D volumetric wood, studio design and rendering.
You would create very common but also more organic and experimental objects giving you a good understanding
about direct or modifier based generative modeling techniques.
I also included a process in how you can make better 3D wood material and bake it into 2D images so you can use it to UV map veneer matches better over your 3D model.
Enjoy
