Is Blender able to have liquid in a suspended state while following a set path?

I am genuinely curious whether or not this is possible

Further, detailed explanation of your idea would be appropriate. Or better yet, visual example of what, how it should look…
Because, you know - virtually, everything goes

I was thinking something like a blob of floating liquid that can be moved in any way shape or form

You really don’t want to put an effort…
Well then, either:

  • go dream of “metaballs”,
  • block something out of your liking and use Subdivision Surface deformer on it
  • simulate…

Sorry I’m still becoming familiar with the program

Don’t be sorry, but do it:

  1. Draw a concept sketch or gather references to mimic!
  2. Google for blender info about:
  • metaballs
  • box modeling & Subdivision Surface modifier
  • manta flow (coming with 2.82), flip fluids (addon)
  1. Study the topics, then decide on the path you’ll take.
  2. Finally, head toward your destination!

note
There’s no shortcuts, just different means of transportation.
Enjoy your travels.
