So I’d like to purchase a 3D model that I found on the website free3d . com to use it in a blender project , but since I’ve never heard of it before I was wondering if it’s safe like Sketchfab or Turbosquid

I’ve never heard of free3d.com and have no dealings with them, so I do not know the answer to your question. They might be entirely legitimate, so I don’t want to slander someone I don’t know.

think about that for a moment. 
If you decide to purchase a model from a site that names itself “free”, then please get back to me: I have a free bridge I would like to sell you.

If you look at their contact page… it say it’s that it is a turbosquid by shutterstock site citing the same adress like turbosquid…
But this measn nothing !! Because the email contact adress is some other… !!
So you may simply compare with turbosquid… or dig into the possible infos about siteowner and

But do not trust me on this…
