Is It Possible To Bake Fire As An Object?

i’m trying to create a ruined city scene. For rubble, i create some rubble and used a rigid body sim to drop it, then froze it at a good frame, baked it and used that mesh as an objec tin the scene. i want to do the same w/ some fires - i’ve tried baking one frame that looks good, and importing the domain, can’t get it to work.
i don’t want to add the domains to the scene, run to a frame then render as the fires are of different sizes/setting and look good at different frames to each other. how do i go about doing what i want?
