I have “Load UI” checked in the Blender Preferences > Save & Load. I would like it to be this way, but sometimes when I load a file I got elsewhere, the UI arrangement for that file is chaotic and confusing and would like to reset it to the default (factory) without making this reset permanent for every future blend files, but only for this one that is currently open. This way, once it’s reset to factory, I can re-arrange the UI layout/elements to my liking and resave this file, so that in the future when I re-open this file again, it will load the UI from this blend file, which is why I prefer to have “Load UI” in the Blender Preferences checked.
If you open the options on the right when you are opening the file, you can uncheck the load ui box for only that file.

If just one workspace is messed up you can open another one of that type and close the messed up one without loading the file again:

If you’re like me that use drag n drop to open file more and always forget to uncheck the load UI in preferences, maybe this addons will help you save some clicks
