Is the Blender VSE a good program to make YTP's?

The Blender VSE is certainly a handy feature in the software, it can serve as a easy to understand (at least in 2.8 onwards…), lightweight video editing program, and a nice alternative for those who cannot afford programs like Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro.

But can Blender’s VSE be used to make YouTube Poops? I mean, like proper YTPs. I’ve actually played around with the VSE myself, and I have been able to pull off a few effects that YTPs are best known for like Stuttering, Sentence Mixing, some dabbling with the video colour settings etc, but I cannot edit the audio in anyway (even though the earlier versions of blender can do that), and I can’t seem to do a “Reverse/WaaW” effect either.

Has anyone else here created YTPs using Blender’s VSE? If so, how effective is it for that purpose?

If there is a way to do pull off the effects I’m stuck with, please let me know.

Tho one doesn’t need to spend a cent to get the same level of quality and features.
Just download a free copy of Davinci Resolve and you should be able to do just about anything you want.

Try Audacity Bridge for Blender addon.
It can work with the Audacity Audio Editor.

Yep the free version is just good enough to cover all video editing needs, and also has better and advanced audio, color grading, and other related features…
