Is there a easier way to draw a poly shape?

Hi guys,

I am wondering if there is a easier way to draw an edge to extrude compared to doing a add point > extrude > add point > extrude > repeat method.

Is there a addon or a feature in blender that lets me draw a shape and easily lets me modify/remove points?

Grid Modeler, Flexi Bezier Tools (draw curve first, then convert), there are probably more (like the CAD addons)

For drawing, you can use the Vertex -> Rip Vertices And Extend tool. For removing, you can use the Dissolve (found in the delete menu; also with the default keymap the hotkey is Ctrl+X).
