Is there a material library in Blender 2.8 (eevee)?

Hello everyone! Is there any way to make or create a material library in the last version of blender (2.8)? I just figurate out how to append the materials into a new file but would b super cool if I could collect all of them in a typical library, as key shot can have. If you have found a tutorial or a way go ahead and send it to me! Thank you very much in advance!

(I took this picture from google ramdomly to show the way I am looking for)

There isn’t a built-in material library system in Blender, although several addons exist which provide this.

At some point this will become a built-in feature via the forthcoming Asset Manager.

You can try the BIS library for procedural materials.

Hi! thank you for your answer!

I have downloaded them and follow the steps for the installation, but couldn’t install it finally. So I reached this point, but when I tried to press the button " install add on from file" nothing happens.

Anyway, thank you so much!

Thank you!
Will try to install these add-ons. If I find anything useful I will share it here

You can try the BlenderKit library, it’s free for materials, brushes and some models too:

Does anybody knows why I cannot install this add-on?
-Is it because of the blender version 2.8 ?( even though I downloaded the add-on for the 2.8)
-Is it because of im using a iOS computer?
-Is it.a zip compression problem?

Thank you!

You don’t need to unzip downloaded archive. Install add-on from for Blender 2.8 and from for Blender 2.7.
You need to specifiy the zip-file to install the add-on.

This bug sometimes happens when you click the switch several times while it loads. Just restart blender and it will work. Also, you should have the latest 2.8 builds always, since the development still moves forward quite quickly and older builds just don’t work sometimes.

You are right! thanks! it has worked out!!!

I did it and it has worked! awesome! thank you so much
