Is there a way for the UVs to NOT show in the image editor?

Is there a way for the UVs to NOT show in the image editor while in edit mode? This would be good when working with a reference image.

I don’t think so. However iirc in the Properties panel (N-key) you can change their appearance among dashed, white, black, and something else (?). This may help slightly depending on your image.
