Most software has this… you press a modifier and it easily rotates/snaps at 45 degrees…
Would be a nice little help, faster than typing in the angles…

There are many ways to rotate something a specific amount. The simplest way for you (based on the limited information you gave) would be to enter the value in the proper transform box in the properties window.

Using the transform gizmo, set snapping to increment, and either turn on snapping or hold CTRL while you rotate. That will limit to 5 degree increments. Just watch the header bar as you rotate to get an even 45 degrees.
