Is there a way to split a curve in two?

I want to cut a curve that I have in two. is there a way to do it without converting the curve to a mesh? Thanks

yuo can open the curve or split it in 2 part but cannot seperate the 2 parts!

just select segment and X key select segment

another way would be to make a copy of this cruve then split each differently !
