Issue - Overlapping between mesh and VDB increase render time x5 ?!


CG Thinkers hello,
All is here. I don’t understand why.
Has anyone encountered this problem before?

  • The sphere use principled BSDF with transmission=1
  • Flame is a VDB file, a result of Blender simulation.

Do you have an idea about why to overlap VDB and sphere increase the render time ? Thanks :slight_smile:
