Issue with Custom Bone Shapes

Hi all,

When I set a custom bone shape in Blender, the bone does not change to the custom shape, it simply remains as a default bone. I’ve looked at some tutorials purely for custom bone shapes, but what they do does not work for me, i’ve set the bone shape in the display tab but nothing changes. I am doing so in pose mode.

I have attatched the .blend file below, any help would be greatly appreciated.

In armature properties you need to check the shapes checkbox.

Be prepared for some scaling issues - you’ll have to adjust the size and apply it to see the update in the size of the custom bone.
