Issue with idle animation

What i want: Action animation(more precise the blending ability of an animation)
and the ability of an object to follow it.

(To better understand my problem check the attached example)

The problem: the rig with action animation does not allow any children to move with it.

The rig with regular parenting does, but does not have to ability to blend an animation with another(?)

So is there a way to ‘combining the pros in the example while removing the cons?’

I guess yes, but you will need to rig it via vertex groups to achieve what do you want in your scene. Please check out the attachment below :wink: (Saved in 2.49b).
