Issues with applying shape keys with the armature modifier

Right then! Issue is as goes, I want to bind a blink to shape keys with the aid of bones - which works flawlessly well, if it weren’t for one thing. The pole targets on the body and IK rigging are accounted into the shape key as well, which alter the T-pose of the body slightly. So, In short , instead of just the eye lids moving, the body is as well.

Is there any way to target specific bones with shape keys? Or will it always take the entire armature?

You could specify a vertex group for your shapekey. You could use “blend from shape” operation to restore parts of the mesh to Basis. You could temporarily mute your IK constraints.
