I am trying to do realistic jade for cycles [2.71].
I have followed a few materials - jade in the wind here - for example but nothing looks good. Nor does the jade dragon I’ve seen [that is unlike any real jade I’ve seen].
Does anyone know a simple but realistic jade shader that can be used for let’s say jewelry?
And here’s with some marble texture I found on the web. Unwrapped of course, seem on back. Clean at 150 samples. You just replace the two green mixrbg with the image, and lower the factor on the mix node at the top left (See image)
there is more than one color of jade like glass or translucent red, blue, green and so forth might be wrong but depends on what your looking for.
nice render photox.
forgot you can add a hue saturation after the image texture to change the color then run it into both the mix shaders and volume absorption
Mib2berlin Hello, I would love to see the configuration of the node. In another thread here in the forum I found amazing materials and started testing some settings for marble and seeing this topic I also made a green Jade similar composition.
