for the shadow problem cant you just turn off the traceable button setting in materials?
That makes it so that obect with the material dosnt cast shadows.

DOH!! (/me slaps himself in the head with a trout).I totally forgot about that “Traceable” button. Haven’t used Ztransp in a while.

Here is the last update before I finish it and then start to texture. I will make my own textures in Photoshop and probably UV map them.
