I built this model a few weeks back in the program LDraw and imported it into Blender for animation. I’ll be using it in my LEGO animated film I’ve been working away at for a little over a year now.
I’m fairly happy with the result at this point, I think a few more background buildings will go a long way. Except for the lighting. I need to find a few lighting tutorials before I get to animation.
Thanks! Right now I’ve no idea how long the animation will be or how long it will take to get it finished. At this stage I’m still in the story/concept/modeling phase.
I did do a little animation last year, but much has changed since then. Still, you can see that here:
Just wanted to give you some recognition for all the work you’ve done on this. Truly a marvel of detail! However, it looks a little bland due to all the greyness. Maybe you could spice up the color with a sunset or something? Looks great so far!
Wow. That’s awesome! My only suggestion is that you give it some more variation. Change the heights of some of the buildings and maybe add some different color. Great job!
Hopefully! Getting the light right defiantly has been the biggest challenge. Its a fairly complex and large render, so it was a little hard to test what the lighting would look like. Lighting is also an area I don’t know much about.
