The tile is okay to me…
But what is wrong with the Jello?! I can’t figure out what textures I need to put on it.
anyone…?
Well, my opinion, I don’t think you need a texture, I think it’s the reflection. If you look at real jello, the reflection light is more solid, almost like paper. Your material’s reflection is too blendy- try making it look a little more like glass, sort of. And try making it translucent. The color of the jello needs to reflect in the shadow, and the shadow of the jello needs to be more solid. The shadow you have now is great, but it’s not the right type of jello. I’m probably explaining this totally wrong, but just look at some jello and compare yours with theirs.
Its too opaque. It needs more transparency, and caugh caustics – which means you may need cycles for a great render
Mmmmmm that looks good.
P.S. You’re a girl?!?!
Here is how real Jell-0 looks like.
Use Raytrace for Transparency setting, and play with IOR value. You need to get that Lensing effect.

Yes, I’m a girl… lol
Use Raytrace for Transparency setting
I’m not sure if I can, because my computer is SLOW!!!
another update
I like that jello better XD but I think the reflection light needs to b more solid. Try turning up the hardness and I think that should do it.
my computer froze for a bit. is there anything else i can do without killing my computer?
Hmmm…what is the IOR of Jello I wonder…
Since jello is 98% water, its probably pretty close to 1.33
@McThingy, your jello should be lying on the plate. it seems like its a bit above plate.
It is on the plate.

It’s at 1.20. If any higher, my computer would probably freeze. lol.
I need to try and get the shadow to turn green… that actually might help right?
