After a rough patch in my life with more than three years without blender, I started modeling again yesterday. I started planning my journeyman’s piece, the project everyone who is learning a craft like joinery / carpentry has to plan and build in a specific timeframe with specific formal requirements.
For my project I am planning a custom keyboard stand for my Yamaha P-35 digital piano. In this thread you can follow the progress from planning and drawing phase to the finished piece made from wood. Feel free to comment and suggest changes, I’m open to all ideas.
My first render is very basic, I modeled the P-35 as close to the original as possible (in regards to the outer shell, I don’t need every detail of the piano for this project). I also tried out a basic classical stand.
Further planning will concentrate on the moving parts (I want to build a cover that you can shut and maybe a drawer for sheet music).
I feels nice to be back, blender has came a long way during my absence.
