.JSX exporter gone?

Hello

I was asked at work to import Blender models into After Effects on Apple M2 Silicon MacBook Air 2022 and found out some people were successful in using the .JSX exporter plugin to that end as in:

However, in version 3.2.2 at least, the plugin no longer shows up on the Add-ons tab of Preferences. It would be appreciated if anyone would provide me with alternative solutions.

Thanks in advance.

Official releases do not include files from the Blender Add-ons Contrib repository. You’ll need to install the add-on yourself. Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install → select the downloaded file.

The file can be downloaded here: https://developer.blender.org/F14089066

Don’t forget to enable the add-on.

Note that I’ve never used this myself, and have no idea whether this will work properly in 3.2.2. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. The .JSX exporter is now working, although the .JSX file cannot be scaled in After Effects, which deems to be more of an AE question.

Hi! Do you know the new URL for this? I cannot access it via the link.

The Add-ons Contrib repository: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender-addons-contrib

The specific file is called io_export_after_effects.py
