Yep, did not get very creative with the working title for now, but that explains the scene best for now.
I just wanted to do some good old greebles again and after having visited an old industrial site i got inspired to just start to copy&paste again.
At first it was just supposed to be a shipyard or something like that, but i then felt the urge to get some more human life in there, so i added some kind of messy market in the bottom of the trench.
Lighting wise i wanted to recreate a lighting situation i saw while walking in the woods in a cold winter day. The light itself was rather warm, but the bounce light was unusally blue. That made me wonder how that could have happened.
I tried to capture that a little bit.
Other than that i am combining multiple volumes here to get a good read on the depth of the scene. In previous artworks i always used ever only one principled volume, but that did not give me good control over the entire scene, splitting it up into two simpler volume scatter objects was really useful here for me.
I was streaming most of the time while i am working on this artwork.
The video on demand is probably up for one week to watch it - will then disappear into the void
Thank you @currosawa
I worked another 6 hours on it today and got more details done
It would be great, if the scene would not look dystopian, so i am adding more little fun details into the scene. In the end it should just be a weird futuristic city, in which the people down there still have a jolly good time
I am currently working on some “b-roll” shots for the final artwork gallery. Found that nice composition at the bottom of the image and had to share
