Kara [V5] - Original Character Portrait

This might in fact be V6, not sure… :upside_down_face::rofl:

Whilst working on other portraits in the series, I’ve continued to work on my Kara portrait.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve fixed a few issues with the sculpt itself. I’ve made an entirely new displacement map for her, and have also adjusted and improved her skin texturing. Changes I made to the head shape meant that I also had to re-groom the hair as well, which took a little time, but was worth it.

I feel that the changes I’ve made are significant enough that it’s worth a new post, rather than an update on the original.

I’ve finally got her to a point where nothing bothers me – well, nothing significant. One problem I always had was that I could never render angles because it just looked wrong, and looked nothing like her. Finally, that has been fixed, now that the proportions and forms have been corrected.

Overall, I’m very happy with her look, and I think she is a pretty good representation of the character that has lived in my head for the past eight years or so.

I hope you like her.
