Keeping it Simple.

Blender’s come a long way in my last six years using it. So have I.

I used to try to go for the most crazy scenes in blender:

But that was three years ago. I’ve gone, now, into more simple, mostly 2d styles. Minimalism is fun. and it looks cool. the next images are all made in Blender, 100%.

waaaaay involved, but still in the realm of simple.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL this chalks up to what is, in my mind, my most favorite, most recent simple work. it took about four hours total to get to look the way i wanted it to, and it’s just plain good. And once again, all blender.

I’m so proud of this.

And here’s the work behind it:

And the nodes involved.

I love it.

tell me what you think.

and post up some other simplistic stuff! it’s a good mental workout.

Awesome, I love the last one particularly. It look like the background to the main menu of a particularly funky video game.

I almost forgot one of my favorites!

These last two are great. Have you thouhgt about freelance graphic design? From logos to album covers, the whole field loves edgey styles like this!

4 stars from me.

And I know what you mean, Ive gone a similar way. Warning: You may get a lot of crap about these simplistic images, dont let it get you donw.

That’s exactly where i plan on doing.

I already work at my university’s newspaper, doing layout, and I’m building a graphic design portfolio.

I’m hoping to get some work outside of videotaping the occasional wedding and breading chicken at Chick-Fil-A.

We’ll see. and if anyone needs work done, send me a message!

ha, amen Brother. A great freelancer site: Scriptlance.com . It says its for programmers, dont be fooled. They’ve got graphic design jobs too(brochure, logo, flash, multimedia, everything), I’ve made about 60$ in the last week doing about 3 to 4 hours of work…
Haha, all my fast-food-cookin’ buddies are jealous…
