I was wondering, how would I keep my user preferences & addons when I upgrade from blender 2.65 to 2.66?
When you open blender 2.66 look on the splash screen. There is an option to copy over your previous settings.
For external addons put them in a specific location and point to them in the User Preferences / File settings.
